| We, Debbie, Grant, My brother Bill, Shelia and Hannah all went to the Taste of Chicago today. Great day. Took some photos.
Peter, I can finally show you what a Clydesdale horse looks like. Go to my flickr photo place, or better yet, I will just put the picture on my Xanga photo blog. The guy washing the horse is 7 ft. tall, just to give you some perspective on how mammoth these horses are.
The cool thing about this day was the earth day displays. Modeled on the Chicogo Bull's ceramic bulls (that they put all around Chicago) they did earths, and there were some very cool ones. You can see some of them at my flickr photo site. The one earth that really intrigued me was the 7th generation earth. There are a tribe of Iraquoi called the Turtle clan or tribe, and they believed that every decision - such as clearing trees to plant a garden - should be weighed out to see what kind of impact it would have on the 7th generation. Now that is foresight! I will have more to say on this. | | |
| Almost forgot... I also added some birds to my collection. Some of you know I am trying to photograph every species of bird in the USA. I added a double-breasted comorant and house finch to my album today.

I am going out on a limb by putting these drawings out here. I've had this alphabet book in my mind and heart for years, and I just haven't had the time or courage to put it out for constructive criticism. But for my friends and family I am going to put out the initial sketches for your scrutiny, thoughts and comments. Go to my flickr photo site to see them. You can do the slide show or just scroll down once you get to the site. They are in alphabetical order in my set called Debbie's calendar and more I think. If you haven't been invited it might be because when I initially sent the invites it went out under my alias "noinkling". Sorry about that. | I am discovering a whole new world. I just discovered that I can upload photos and videos onto a thing called photo manager and video manager. Now, I think you can just click on photos or video and it will take you there. Not sure about that. Also I have a flickr page that displays photos. I think I have to invite you to that page. So if you want to see some of my photos - mostly birds and strange birds - (family that is) - just tell me, and I will invite you on. I was trying to see if I could link there, but I don't think blogs link. | | |
